Outside of another split that would add species to the state list I think
the next few birds will likely be a storm-petrel or a shearwater.

Other distinct possibilities include a few warblers, most likely
Worm-eating, Connecticut or Kentucky, Blue Grosbeak, McCown's Longspur,
Sprague's Pipit, Long-toed Stint, or Common Moorhen.

Outside chances include Lesser Nighthawk which has been recorded in both BC
& Oregon. A Frigatebird has been seen several times but has remains
undocumented to species, so this remains a remote possibility. Wood Thrush
is also one I would expect sometime in the future. Curve-billed Thrasher has
been seen all around us.

There are a bunch of hummingbirds out there and many have shown a propensity
to wander so keep an eye out at your feeders and flower gardens. Xantu's
showed up in BC, Ruby-throated is a real possibility, and Broad-billed has
shown up all around us.

There is a plethora of Asian species that might show up. Brown Shrike,
Dusky, Arctic, and Lanceolated Warbler, Taiga Flycatcher, Blue-throat, and
Red-flanked Bluetail have all shown up in California and one must assume
they passed Washington to get there.

With all the possibilities it should be fun. If it doesn't happen by
year-end I will be surprised.

Cheers
