Tonight, just a few miles outside of Lynden at dusk, we drove past an owl on
a fencepost. Turned the car around and went back and sat and admired the
owl for two or three minutes before it flew into the nearby woods. Came
home and checked and am certain it was a northern spotted owl. Very
exciting.
