Colby Neuman found a TENNESSEE WARBLER today at Slavin Ranch, Spokane County. As fate would have it, I was going to Slavin today and ran into Colby Neuman on the trail as he was on his way out (not knowing about the TEWA). To find the bird, if it's stil there, it's about a 1 mile hike as follows:
(1) Proceed from the parking lot Southwest toward the first Aspen Grove.
(2) Follow the main trail to a large field where you can see the wetland and turn RIGHT
(3) Continue along the main trail following along the East shoreline of the main wetland/pond
(4) As you near the South end of the main wetland/pond, the trail beings to incline slightly
(5) You will see an obvious fork in the trail near the top of the small incline - that is where the TEWA is/was.

Unfortunately, it's with about 50-100 Yellow-rumpeds, 100+ Chipping Sparrows and a few other typical Warblers, but it was hanging between the ground and eye-level more or less. Presumably as long as that flock is in the area, it will stick with it so look for the flock, though with the weather, that might not be long! No photos as there were rain showers and so I did not bring a camera.

One more thing: if you go to Slavin, CARRY IN A SCOPE! There is SEPL present (rare in Spokane County), along with 4 RNPH's and 4 PESA's. Stilt Sandpiper and Semipalmated Sandpipers have been seen there in the past 10 days and things are moving, so any shorebird species could be there any time.
