Hi Birders:

I tried to follow John Tubbs itinerary from yesterday, and saw NONE of the
birds he did. No Grebe. NO SWALLOWS, at all, of any kind; I go here often,
and this may be the first time I have not seen a swallow! I did, however,
have a nice COOPER's HAWK flying NW over Sikes Lake, and young SHARP-SHINNED
HAWK perched on a telephone wire on NE 100th St.

I also did not see the Olive-sided Flycatcher on Neal Rd. But I did have an
AMERICAN BITTERN flying over the slough (Janicke?) close to the end of the
road, and then had a couple of very odd CANADA GEESE on the east side of
Neal Rd, about 1/2 mile from Rt. 203. They were slightly smaller and
appeared to have straighter looking foreheads than the other Canadas, and
virtually no white in their faces. The marking were grayish and very
narrow. Odd. I have a couple of very mediocre pictures.
