I had a slow morning on my walk through Twin Lakes today, until I got to
Treasure Island Park. I stopped to pick a few blackberries, about 50 yards
to the left of the new gravel "beach" at the two benches. Much to my
surprise, a bird popped up on an alder branch, maybe 10 feet in front of me.
It was bee-bopping, tail-wagging NORTHERN WATERTHRUSH! I had enough time to
study it well, from "teetering" to eyebrow stripe to light yellow underside
wash. When last seen, it flew off to the bushes in the depression in the
lawn.
This is my first record in Twin Lakes. I had expected to see one, since the
habitat to the right of the "beach", looks perfect for waterthrush.

Good Birding!
