hi tweeters-i just went out the the spit at 5:00pm b/c the tide was coming over 8 feet-- a large flock of black bellied plovers + western sandpipers flew in to the end of the spit --on closer observation there were 3 (not so ) red knots ,+~6 short billed dowitchers . the plovers flew to the west end of the spit + there was 1 BARTAILED GODWIT with them-- i took some awful , proof pics.

.also seen were 7 killdeers , 2 spotted sandpipers ,adult + juvenile caspian terns ,+ bonaparte gulls.---cheers , maxine reid baconmf at mail.com tulalip bay ,snohomish county, wa
