Hi Tweeters,

It's good to finally be home again after recent travels to southeast Brazil
and to Vancouver Island for meetings. I got back home at 11:15 last night
and heard a major movement of Swainson's Thrushes with sparrows and warblers
mixed in over my Battle Ground, Clark County yard. However, I wasn't able
to stay awake long enought to take it all in. I hoped for good things this
morning but the movement didn't translate to many audible or visible
passerines this morning. Highlight birds of the morning included:

Merlin 1
Red-shouldered Hawk 1 (first year bird and only the second
perched Red-shoulder I've seen in Washington!)
Osprey 1
Band-tailed Pigeon 2
Black-throated Gray Warbler 1
Yellow Warbler 2
Orange-crowned Warbler 2
Common Yellowthroat 2
Evening Grosbeak 100+ (small audible southbound flocks)
Cedar Waxwing 75+
Lesser Goldfinch (joined 6 American Goldfinches on the sunflower feeder this
afternoon)

Keep your ears and eyes skyward.

Jim
