I had just returned from an Audubon board meeting when Ruth Sullivan pulled
up to my house and asked me to post this.

Waterfowl hunting takes place on the game range Sept 10-15, according to a
young man who (we hoped) finally killed a Canada Goose after five shots. No
other birds were on the game range so she sat down to wait after the
hunter(s) left and was finally rewarded with four birds...a Pectoral
Sandpiper, a Greater Yellowlegs and TWO Buff-breasted Sandpipers! That's
it...nothing else flew in.
