Tina and I had another great day in Eastern Washington. We were unable to
relocate the CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER that we found yesterday at the Little
Goose Dam in Columbia County. Although the photos won't win any prizes,
they are good enough for identification.

We had some great county birds today and ran into many birding friends along
the way.



Columbia County

. Solitary Sandpiper - Hwy 261 between milepost 5 and 6

. White-Throated Swift - Near Little Goose Dam



Franklin County

. Great Egret - Lyons Ferry. Two spotted on the wing by Matt
Bartels. They obligingly flew across the Snake and into Columbia County

. Turkey Vulture - Lyons Ferry. It followed the Great Egrets across
the Snake and into Columbia County.

. Nashville Warbler - Lyons Ferry

. Wild Turkey - Lyons Ferry. I think the first time I've seen a
mixed flock of Wild Turkeys and Canada Geese..



Adams County

. Cassin's Vireo - Washtucna.

. House Wren - Washtucna.

. Turkey Vulture - Sprague Lake

. Sabine's Gull - Sprague lake. Only saw 1 bird.

. Common Tern -- Sprague Lake

. Forester's Tern -- Sprague Lake



Kittitas County

. Clark's Grebe - Wanapum SP boat ramp

. Common Tern - Wanapum SP boat ramp



We missed the Broad-Winged Hawk reported in Washtucna by about an hour. The
number and variety of flycatchers in Wahtucna was way down from Saturday.
