Last week I reported photographing a banded Caspian tern flying south over
Edmonds?midafternoon of 9-8-10.?? I subsequently received an e-mail from Joe
Meche asking me to send him some of my photos which he could forward to
researchers at Oregon State University. ?

Today I received the following replay from Joe:

"The leg bands in the close-up?photo you sent?translate to?that ?particular
bird?being?banded as a chick on

East Sand Island, near Astoria, OR, in 2003.?"
