I took my second pelagic trip out of Westport on 9/11/10 hoping for good weather, calm water and many birds. It all happened and I was able to bring home a few good images. This is some of the most difficult photography I have done - shooting moving targets from a moving platform with a long lens (500mm). I tried it once last year and came back with only one decent image (very rough water). I was most excited about the large number of Black-footed albatrosses that came in close - what magnificent birds.
You can find these images in the last uploads album of my website www.photos.rlkimages.com

There are also many other new photos taken from various locations around the state. Have a look if you'd like.
