Recent Vesper Sparrow sightings in Thurston County...

On September 13th while walking on Grand Mound Prairie at Scatter Creek
Wildlife Area (south unit), 3 of the ~20 sparrows I saw were Vespers (3
others were Savannahs). These 3 all flushed to a shrub, displaying
their white outer tail feathers. Many of the unidentified sparrows,
when flushed went quickly to ground and remained unidentified.

On Sept 14th while walking around Mima Prairie at the Mima Mounds Nat'l
Area, 4 of the 13 sparrows I saw were Vespers (4 others were
Savannahs).
