Hi Tweets...despite my best intentions today was the first day I have had a
chance to get outside in a week, and it was actually an exercise period for
the dog and me. We walked west from the Marine View Dr. public access to
where the creek cuts across, stayed there a short time then returned along
the beach.
I didn't access the game range because of the dog, and the tide was still
dropping (low tide at 2:39PM), but a quick scan over the dune grass at the
ponds failed to see anything but Green-winged Teal...no shorebirds from
where I could see.
The treat was 19 Am. Pipits scavenging in the eel grass on the beach....an
unexpected pleasure.
I saw Ruth Sullivan's car out there at the base of Damon Point, so maybe she
was out walking that spit, and maybe she will have something more to report.
