Hello,

First of all, my aplogies for the tardiness of this post. Still trying to
figure out the tweeters thing from my phone. Anyway, Wed - Frid, Sept
15-17, I made a quck trip to the west side to round up a few of the
rarities and fill in a few holes. Lots of good birds, but here are the
highlights:

Wed, Sept 15 - Wanapum State Park, Kittitas County: a male BAY BREASTED
WARBLER (south end line of poplars in the day area). The place was hopping
with activity, including a Black throated Gray Warblers, a MacGillivray's
Warbler, a few empids and vireos mixed in with the bazillion Yellow Rumped.
Also Townsend's Solitaires and Lincoln's Sparrows.

Ediz Hook, Port Angeles, Clallam County: Lapland Longspur

Thursday, Sept 16 - Road to La Push, Clallam County: Sooty Grouse and a
LEWIS'S WOODPECKER.

Grayland Beach, Grays Harbor County: in heavy rain, birds were
migrating/feeding near the shore. Mixed in with the numerous Sooty
Shearwaters, was one Pink footed and a Black Legged Kittiwake.

Tokeland, Pacfic County: BAR-TAILED GODWIT among the hundreds of
Marbled Godwits and a dozen or so Willets. Raining hard, but still had a
great look at the godwit - sitting on the marina's beach right below the
parking lot.

Friday, Sept 17 - - Damon Point, Ocean Shores, Grays Harbor County: King
Eider

Ocean Shores Game Range - met up with Ruth Sullivan where we found a
Stilt Sandpiper among other nice shorebirds. I had a Lapland Longspur
flyover.

Thats about it.
