Greetings all,
Stopped by the Dash Point fishing pier around 2:30PM today with Tracey Norris and scanned for passing birds - and was delighted to see a juvenile Sabine's Gull flying south.
I picked it up through my scope a ways to the northwest from the pier and we watched it for about 15 minutes as it lazily flew southward, landing in the water several times and taking off flying very acrobatically at times. a real treat for the sound, my first for Pierce County.
On another note, I have started editing some photographs from yesterday's pelagic, including one of a Flesh-footed Shearwater
