I was at Damon Point on Friday and saw at least two and maybe three
apparently juvenile Red-Throated Loons lying on the beach. The first
one bolted for the ocean when it saw me, and then it swam normally
but it did stay close to shore. After that I kept at a distance so
as not to stress them.

Full report later on my one-week visit to OR and WA, after I recover
from traveling.
