I too saw the BLACK PHOEBE yesterday at the Skagit WMA, in fact it was practically the first bird I heard getting out of the car.
Thought I heard a second bird far off at one point but was not sure.Missed the Sharp-tailed but noted impressive numbers of
both yellowlegs, LB Dowitchers and songbirds generally, including many sparrows, YR Warbler, one Empid, one W. Tanager.

Ran into Carol Riddell who had a WILSON'S PHALAROPE before we ran into one another. Later I heard twice, and saw fleetingly,
a flyby SOLITARY SANDPIPER. Both of these species are pretty regular in August in Skagit County but are distinctly late for Sept
19.
