Presumably Evening Grosbeaks. I've noticed them flying about in the trees in
my neighborhood in Lake Forest Park during this past week. They are quite
irregular visitors to the neighborhood. Perhaps others have noticed them
about the suburbs and in the city? I also have had a black-headed Grosbeak
at the feeder (they apparently bred nearby), the last date so far was
September 14.

Hi,
For the first time I noticed a flock of Grosbeaks tearing apart pine cones
in my neighbors tree. I haven't seen them in the neighborhood before. They
made quite a mess on his deck. Great to see them though from my
perspective.
