I understand that when people have these general questions, the answers go to them personally, rather than being posted to the whole list. We don't all need to see every response.

But, I am hoping to travel to Costa Rica for the first time, and I'll bet I'm not the only one. It would be so nice if you could post a summary of the best recommendations you got for guides and books.
