A biologist/birder who is not on the birding list-servs sent me a note on
Thursday, September 23rd that he "had an Acorn Woodpecker at my feeder in La
Center for a couple days last week." La Center is just a bit northeast of
Ridgefield. The woodpecker is apparently gone now.
