We also have heard night time calls, especially the ending tremelo.? I was
wondering?when?the voice of the young develops as we could still hear? the
begging sounds into early August. One of the three young came hunting on our
place about a week ago, still donning some downy feathers.? Right before our?
eyes he/she swooped and grabbed a little Douglas squirrel that we had enjoyed
and dined happily.? He stayed the night on that perch and departed sometime the
following mid-morning.I have pictures if anyone would like to see them.
