Wednesday, at dusk, I was headed away from the field between Hwy 167 and Emerald Downs in Auburn when I happened to see a Red-Tailed Hawk sitting on a light pole.
Nothing unusual in the least about this until I looked at him more closely and noticed a leg band on his right leg and a large blue tag with the number "11" imprinted on it attached
to his left wing.
