About a full week later than last year, but the Ospreys are back to the pipeline trail near Royal Hills in Renton. I also heard a Rufuous Hummingbird rattling away, in the bushes, joining the zippy buzzing from the Anna's in the brush around the trail. Singing birds included Purple Finch, Fox Sparrow, and Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Later in the afternoon, I swung by Cavanaugh Pond off of the Maple Valley Highway, and found a Northern Rough-winged Swallow in with the Violet-greens.
