I walked the dike on the north side of SR 532 just before coming onto Camano
Island and there, within 100 yards, was a flock of Western Meadowlarks.? On the
south side of SR 532 and a little more east, is the exit to the Eide Road.?
I?drove it to the?last parking area then walked to the end of the road and
observed a Short-eared Owl soaring over the wet field.
