Thanks to everyone who replied regarding the report of the white eagle.
I already told the person who reported the bird, whatever it was, about
the fairly remote possibility of it being a leucistic Red-tailed Hawk.
I will mention Osprey as another possibility. I certainly would not
describe an Osprey as completely white when seen from below, but you
know how different people, especially non-birders, can describe the same
bird in different ways.
