Good morning Tweets,

I am planning to buy a birding scope through the Seattle Audubon Nature Shop (because I want to support them) and have pretty much narrowed down what I am looking at to two scopes, the Pentax PF 80ED A and the Pentax PF-65ED AII (that's A-2), both with angled bodies and zoom lenses. I do not plan to use this scope for digiscoping. Certainly the PF 80 is more scope, but it is also heavier weighing (reportedly) 3.5 pounds compared to the PF 65 which weighs 37.7 oz. The later is only 10.6 inches longer, while the PF 80 is 13 inches long. I realize I need to think about how I will be using the scope but I also think that how big/heavy it is will influence how I use it. Any thoughts from experienced scope users would be appreciated. Please back channel responses to me at judscovill at comcast.net.

Thanks in advance,
