Hello Tweeters,
I been not birdying in the field, and so tired of every day raining!!!!!!I
never ever complaint about the rain, but it is getting to much.
But I have never watched my yard so much keeping records (as my Son done for
years since 1984,
I lost all my House Finches when the Coopers Hawk stayed over 3 weeks. Not
that I really cared, since there are so messy.
I feed most all my birds with my Suet (7 feeders)which I take in every
evening at dusk and return early in the morning,YES I
going to all the trouble, but I HAVE NO RATS!!!!!!I have only 1 Seed feeder
hanging with 10 Pin-Siskin and 3 Purple Finches
Who are using the Seed feeder. There are also spitting the seeds on to the
ground ( so there is a lot of waste) but I love the Pine Siskin, because
there where absent for years here.I discover this morning that I have 1 real
bright yellow Adult male,to describe would kind to over estimated ,since
when I this bird vaguely thinking it was one of the Townsend's Warblers. The
yellow was that bright. There is only one bird book what got the exact
plumage,it is in the Sibley Guide what I only use when I can not find it in
all my other Fieldguides. This season who started in late October been an
exceptional season whit so many nice birds been in my yard,I still have 5
Townsend's Warblers staying all day 3 Yellow rumped Warblers( 1 male &1
female in bright breeding plumage, still the many Bushtits, both Kinglet's
this birds are all on Suet.

Cheers Ruth Sullivan
