Thanks to all who took a look at the bird ID photo.

Mike Patterson had the correct answer. The photo was taken on North Fort Lewis in Peirce county. A Raven was flying in an oval about eighty feet in the air in front of another raven sitting in a tree. The flying raven was carrying a piece of wrapper from a "Meals Ready to Eat" MRE food pouch. I think it may have been a courtship display or enticement. I saw the Raven make three of these orbits then the pair flew over the ridge between us and the Sound.

Some of the other comments were Cormorant, Canada Goose, Pileated Woodpecker / log cock and Pterodactyl, juvie. The later is exactly why I wanted to share it with everyone and ask what if someone described that to you.

Also the salmon were released in Chambers Creek and the Bald Eagles have gathered. Nine yesterday, five today and two Osprey.
