Very breezy this afternoon. Not many "small" land birds seen especially compared to Saturday.

I watched three CASPIAN TERNS flying together around the southern part of the Montlake Fill, over Canoe Island then back and forth above the Conibear Shellhouse. Eventually they headed across campus to the north at 3:15pm. Anyone look up on campus?

There were plenty (at least 20) of BALD EAGLE around. I saw seven in one thermal over the CUH with perhaps 50% immatures. Moving north. Plenty of eagle interactions between the migrants.

And finally ...

The Common Teal was on the Vernal Pond today. I suspect he's trying to induce people to keep a list of all the waters he's been seen on: Central Pond, SW Pond, Vernal Pond and Yesler Cove.
