Subject: [Tweeters] First of Year Ospreys in Seattle

My first-of-year Osprey was also seen yesterday, only a half hour or hour
after Stewart's. I was in North Bend, just off I-90. There was one bird,
circling quite close. I had seen three large raptors circling up in the sky
with Mount Si in the background, about 20 minutes earlier. There was a
little talon-grabbing going on. I thought they were Bald Eagle but didn't
have binoculars.

Subject: [Tweeters] First of Year Ospreys in Seattle

Heard and saw my first of year (confirmed) Osprey for Seattle today.
(got a poor look at a possible Seattle Osprey about a week or two ago).
Heard the whistling, then saw 2 or 3 over NW Queen Anne and the Interbay
area early this afternoon (maybe 12:30p). Then early this evening saw one
on the nest just south of the West Seattle Bridge for the first time this
year, after checking every day for weeks. It is always easier to get those
first of year sightings than to know if your last of season will indeed be
the last sighting of the season.
