Here in Lakewood, the Pierce County version, I'm still seeing the lack of
House Finches and lots of Juncos that has been mentioned here before. I'm
noticing an abundance of Gold-crowned Sparrows. I can count on seeing 5 on
and around my feeders just about every time I look out the window. In the
past, Gold-crowned Sparrows have been fairly common; but not nearly so
numerous. I'd usually see only one, or sometimes two. . Are others
noticing this? I've also been seeing an occasional Savannah Sparrow and
White-crowned Sparrows, for about the past week.
