For a week, I have been unable to fill the bird feeders, and eventually,
the only thing left was the thistle in the finch feeders (which neither
finch nore siskin have been by to try). So I guess I should not have
been surprised when the local flock of Juncos took matters into their
own hands.

About the 4th day of my confinement, I looked out the window to see four
juncos on the finch feeder, ripping at the holes. Finally, they flew
away, but the next day when I opened the curtains, there were juncos and
chickadees all over the feeder, tree, and surrounding ground.
Obviously, they managed to break-in!
