Yesterday morning I took the Tahlequah-Pt. Defiance ferry off Island. At
the Tahlequah dock, all three cormarant species were perched next to each
other in very bright plumage. The red on the Pelagic's face and the
brilliant blue of the Brandt's cheek pouch were stunning. The Brandt's were
really plumed out as well.



A Pacific Loon was present as well and on the way back to Vashon in the
evening a half dozen Rhino Auklets were about mid-channel.
