Hey Tweets,

Stopped by the Black River in Renton this morning. Three warbler species (Orange-crowned, Common Yellowthroat and Yellow-rumped). Most interestingly, I saw two herons there today, including one carrying nesting material. After watching for 5-10 minutes, a Peregrine Falcon came zipping in and harrassed one of the herons - I know there have been questions about the presence of eagles, but I'm curious if the Peregrines could cause problems too.

Still some ducks around - Green-winged Teal, Bufflehead, Mallard, Gadwall, Wood Duck and Pied-billed Grebe. No sign of a Cooper's Hawk that I saw last week - they've nested here before, but I don't think they did this last summer.

Happy birding!
