My wife and I watched the first *Mallard* brood of the year at Treasure
Island Park here in Twin Lakes, Federal Way. this afternoon. The Mallard hen
was taken six ducklings down the creek flowing out of Lake Lorene. The cute
little fluff balls looked like they were only a day or two old
It really must be spring, even though I have not been able to tell by the
weather. In addition to today's ducklings, I located an active
*Bushtit*nest on my morning walk yesterday. It is such an amazing
structure, swinging
from a pine branch in the wind!

Good Birding!
