If you come to the trail to photograph, that is great! Please be mindful
that this is a public trail and therefore there will be people on the trail.
I have seen tweeters posting that make it sound as though the people on the
trail are annoying and I have run in to nothing but rude 'birders' with
giant cameras since the Harris' sparrow has been seen here. If you don't
want to run in to as many people, go there on the weekend or go and look for
birds in the middle of a field. If you are rude and irritated as Cammo man
was today we just don't need that around the trail. Sorry folks, nature is
to be enjoyed and people are part of nature. Leave the grumpiness at home
next time. Anybody that sets up a camera out there and stands around
waiting for the perfect bird picture should patient enough to entertain a
question of what they are looking for. I mean, come on, you are out there
on a trail in the middle of the day with a huge camera pointing at something
nearby. Of course people are going to be curious as to what you are looking
for.

I have simply had it with all you telephoto lens nasties not only
being severely rude, but in my opinion, giving birding a bad name. Go find
a field if you want to be by yourself. If you are on a walking trail there
are going to be people walking. The photographers are the annoying people
in my opinion. Not that they are photographing, but why do they have to be
so rude about it? It is unnecessary and unwelcome. Please all rude
photographers find some other place. Your loitering is not welcome on this
trail! Your giant cameras and tripods are in the walkers way, not the other
way around!
