I saw a bird overhead in Old Town Tacoma this evening that, where I on the Pacific, I would have pegged as a shearwater of some sort, narrow white wings with black outer stripe, narrow black and white body. I heard it call and it was a call unfamiliar (something I would expect to hear offshore, a chortled yell) to me and one I cannot find online as of yet online or in any of my audio recordings.

Any ideas?
