Today I participated on a Columbia Land Trust tour in the Columbia River Gorge. In Vancouver, Clark County, the maples trees along Officer's Row are in bloom and loadED with ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS, YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS and one NASHVILLE WARBLER. While we lunched along the Klickitat River, in Klickitat County, just upstream of the town of Klickitat, a juvenile GOLDEN EAGLE flew over while my first of the season CASSIN'S VIREO called from the oak trees. Later a single VAUX'S SWIFT zipped over our group in the same location. TURKEY VULTURES are now widespread and fairly numerous, I counted five at Chamberlain Lake, Klickitat County and seven at the Fisher Rock Quarry at Camas, Clark County. Wilson Cady
