Hey tweets, The good weather seems to be reviving everyone: plants,
birds, even me. It was wonderful getting out to the Fill with the sun
shining. My chilblains will be eternally grateful.

Recent arrivals at the Fill over the past two days include:
Greater White-fronted Geese (at last! 2 on Lagoon this morning)
Caspian Tern (over lake)
Osprey (paying regular morning visits)
Cinnamon Teal pairs (SW Pond, Yesler Swamp, Kern's Restoration Pond)
Brown-headed Cowbird (sigh)
Band-tailed Pigeons (two thinking about nesting in Yesler Swamp, as
they have done for the past two years)

No shorebirds yet, but John cleared out the drainpipes to Main Pond,
creating fantastic mud. I could barely resist the call to dinner
myself, and I almost never eat worms or small crustaceans. I hope our
newly laid table of delicacies will attract some passing shorebirds
soon.

In the meantime, the Native Plant Society asked me to notify any
interested tweets about some of their upcoming activities, in case
you're interested in planting natives to attract birds:
