Tweeters,

My wife and I went out to the Samish Flats (amidst *extreme* traffic due to
the Tulip Festival) on Saturday afternoon. While the birds were light, we
did manage to see a good variety in the fields far south of the WDFW parking
lot.

Highlights were:
- 2x Short-Eared Owls
- 1x FEMALE MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD in the far south fields
- 1x PRAIRIE MERLIN up close on some snags

Some others were:
- Misc Hawks: Rough Legged, Red Tailed, Cooper's, and Sharp-Shinned
- Bald Eagles
- Some Harriers
- Lots of Savannah Sparrows
- Marsh Wrens calling everywhere

Bryan and Jess
