Took advantage of Saturday's perfect weather and tides to hike the 5.5 miles out to the lighthouse. The trail through the woodland is being resurfaced but the detour via the horse trail is well marked. Make sure you pick a low tide for your hike, this is a long slog even under ideal conditions, at high tide you are pushed up onto loose sand and cobbles. No fun!
