Hi. Today around noon I observed a bird flying away from my sunflower feeder, and had the markings of a black headed grosbeak. I usually see the first males no sooner than May 4, and this bird would be about 2 weeks earlier than the average first arrivals. I was not able to stay and watch long, so I don't know if it returned. Has anyone else seen any yet?
