Hello Tweeters,

Near a Bald Eagle hangout in West Seattle, I found a wing on the ground. It seemed about the right size for a crow, but had a couple of features that led me to wonder if it might be something else: a pretty narrow shoulder, a narrowed tip shape, and feathers that were dark brown with golden- or at least lighter-brown-tinted undersides. On the other hand, I believe young crows have now fledged, so this may be an unfortunate, inexperienced young crow whose feathers hadn't quite matured. (Or maybe I'm just totally off base, always a possibility!)

I've posted three photos on my Flickr site (perhaps not suitable for young viewers or people who are easily grossed out) at www.flickr.com/photos/trileigh. I'd welcome your thoughts if you're interested in taking on the challenge.

Good birding to you,
Trileigh
