greetings:

in between bad weather, ill health (on scott's part) and lots of other
obligations (on my part) falcon observations have been scarce for a couple
weeks. but it can now be reported that as of 1414 on 4/26/2011 the eggs
have hatched. the falcon was sitting very tight this afternoon. after she
allowed me to suffer through a short hailstorm, she got up long enough to
reveal all the eggs have hatched (or at least if there is any brick red left
in the nest, it's under white fuzz). i could clearly see two heads, and the
entire pile of fuzz is consistent with four or five chicks. the weather is
supposed to improve by saturday and the young should be getting long-necked
by then. might be worth a trip up.

regards,

t
