There was a Say's phoebe feeding near the ground among the corn stubble this afternoon on Gate's field along Pt. Williams Rd. This is the first individual I've seen in Clallam county. The buff belly, large size, dark head w/o eye rings were clearly seen from 50 yards away. My wife and I recently noted a number of them in their more usual habitat in E. Washington.
