Dear Tweeters,

Hello,

The Cedar River Watershed Institute is hosting a special two-part Family Friendly Birding field trip on May 7 and 14. Master Birder Woody Wheeler will be the instructor. The program will begin at the Cedar River Watershed Education Center in North Bend, Washington. The class will spend a little time talking about identification and then explore the area around Rattlesnake Lake.

The class usually sees about 30 different species. This week alone around the center we have seen: Common Loons, Common Mergansers, Hooded Mergansers, Rufous Hummingbirds, Pileated Woodpeckers, Downy Woodpeckers, Bushtits, Juncos and Kinglets to name a few.

If you?d like more information, I can send you a flyer directly or details can be found by viewing the complete program catalog at: http://www.seattle.gov/util/About_SPU/Water_System/Water_Sources_&_Treatment/Cedar_River_Watershed/InstitutePrograms/index.htm
