Quick notes on some other birds I saw in Kittitas County today:

Male Williamson?s Sapsucker maybe a mile above where Reecer Creek Rd. cuts west from the stream as you go up into the hills

Burrowing Owl east of the crane training place on Old Vantage Highway

Sage Thrasher, Sage Sparrow, Brewer?s Sparrow were easy at the Quillomene

Lincoln?s Sparrow at milepost 34 on the Old Vantage Highway

Western Kingbird ? 1 at Ginko SP, 3 at the north end of Huntzinger Rd.

Swainson?s Hawk ? 3 on Tjossem Rd.

Bewick?s Wren ? two heard singing 0.4 miles south of Thrall Rd. on Canyon Rd., just before entering the canyon

Western Wood-Pewee ? one at the same location as the Bewick?s Wren

Not a bad day, despite the wind. Spring returns are still very slow though.

I?ve had a couple of good birds for Kittitas County already this morning.

First, a GREATER YELLOWLEGS at the small pond on the north edge of the road just east of 4220 Hungry Junction Rd.

Also, about 20 GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE at the pond on the east side of Reecer Creek Rd, about a mile north of Hungry Junction. There were also a handful of GWFG at the pond where Hungry Junction dead-ends into Look Rd., at the NE corner of the airport lands.
