I didn't know olive-sided flycatcher sightings?generated such interest or I would have reported this earlier.?? On Friday (7/29)?my son and I were up at Pt. Edwards in Woodway photographing the baby bald eagle.?? I?heard a bird?calling nearby, the same?one?I had heard?many?times?previous while I was?photographing the baby eagle.?? This time I decided to get serious about tracking it down.?

A nice, older gentleman let me into his back yard where I located the source of the sound.? It was?a flycatcher perched high atop a fir tree in?a neighboring yard.? I took many photos with my big honkin' lens including a sequence of?it catching a flying insect. ?A friend and fellow Tweetster identified the bird from my photos as an olive-sided flycatcher.
