Speaking of birding movies, I recently discovered "Big Birding Day", a short documentary about a big day attempt in Mexico. It will be shown on PBS on Aug 23. More info at http://www.pbs.org/pov/bigbirdingday/ and you can see the trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7ZUeOiM9Vk. The trailer is a little confusing. It shows birders looking for Prairie-Chickens, which don't occur in Mexico. I've learned that this is just an introductory part of the movie, prior to their arrival in Mexico.
