This is a request for those who live or bird in the Lacey/Olympia area. Two
trumpeter swans were released on Lake Hicks at the request of WDFW. The
Trumpeter Swan Society supplied the swans and we put them out in early May.
The birds are now one year old and will be white or nearly so. They have now
fledged and are fully flighted. They are also wearing red neck bands with
white codes of M35 and M36. They flew off Lake Hicks on Monday or at least
out of sight of the person feeding them.



If any one sees these birds or hears of their location please let me know.
We are all curious to know how successful this release will be.
